Last week saw more test success, with 2 students having excellent passes at Long Benton test centre.
Terry Neary and Liam Pattison both had first class passes, with the examiners commenting on how well they had done.
It's very rewarding to hear another proffesional compliment your students. They only have to say yes or no to the result, but if they are impressed they usually make comment.
Often we see examples of bad behaviour on the road by other drivers, but every now and then I see something that restores my faith in others. I was teaching a student to reverse in to a side road, when a motorist approached us. The road was narrow due to a parked car opposite, so I advised the student to proceed to clear the road. He carried on with the exercise and made a good job of it.
Meanwhile the motorist had been waiting patiently so I thank him for his courtesy. He pulled forward nearer to us then stopped. Wound down his window and clapped, stuck his thumb up then drove on.
Not only was he courteous but nice enough to let the student know he appreciated his skill.
The student as you can imagine very pleased with the response.
Just goes to show thre are plenty of nice people out there.
